Zombies take Main Street

Zombies will infiltrate Main Street, Alhambra on Saturday night, in a first-time Downtown Alhambra Business Association event.
The Zombie Walk, a free, all-ages event, starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. Zombies and survivors will meet behind Cha for Tea in the Mervyn’s parking lot at 150 E. Main Street for rules and makeup application. The Zombie Walk and games will commence at 7 p.m. and include area restaurants. There will be a post-apocalyptic after-party for adults over the age of 21 at 9 p.m. at a local bar. For more information and to RSVP, check out the Facebook invitation.
The Zombie Walk is one of a series events Downtown Alhambra is hosting. As zombies look to spread their virus, civilian vigilantes will try to stop the hordes from taking over the city by participating in competitive Zombie Walk games. Those who wish to be part of the zombie apocalypse should dress in raggedy, plaid clothing (shoes are required). Makeup artists will be available to recruit people into the zombie mob with blood-curdling zombie effects.
