Yogurt shop owner charged with kidnapping female employee faces new charges
Police rearrested 37-year-old Robert Yachen Lee on Thursday after finding images of child pornography on his personal computer, KTLA is reporting. He is already facing charges of kidnapping with intent to rape and attempted murder for assaulting one of the employees of his Monterey Park yogurt shop in August. Lee allegedly lured the female employee into an upstairs storage room, which he had soundproofed, where he knocked her unconscious and locked her inside a large container. The victim says that she woke up wearing nothing but a collar and an adult diaper. She was able to free herself and escape to a nearby optometrist's office, where she called the police.
Lee was free on bond and awaiting trial for the attack when police discovered pornographic images of minors on his computer. He is set to appear in Alhambra Superior Court on June 21. If convicted, Lee could face up to life in prison without possibility of parole.
