Updated map of coyote spottings in Alhambra
Alhambra residents report recently spotting coyotes in their neighborhoods. Nancy Ruiz wrote that her son David spotted the coyote pictured above near the intersection of Glendon Way and Meridian Avenue on June 29. Her cat Annie has been missing ever since.
Aimee R. wrote that she saw three coyotes roaming near Hellman and Charnwood Avenue early one morning in June. Another commenter wrote that he saw one near the intersection of Main Street and Primrose. We last reported on their attacks on domestic animals in January.

Post a commentThe coyote spotted by David Ruiz was probably lost trying to follow street signs to Meridian Avenue and Glendon Way in South Pasadena, where the two streets are a block apart and near the Monterey Hills. Coyotes have long made themselves at home in the hills and usually are not confused by the street signs. Hope Annie the Cat is just hiding out.
