Spike in shots fired for the first half of June

Reports of shots fired in Alhambra were higher in the first two weeks of June than any similar period of time so far in 2012. Between June 1-16, there were nine reports, two of which occurred within a two-block area just off of Mission Road. The interactive map below shows all cases of reported shots fired in Alhambra between June 1-16. The one below it shows all major reported crimes in Alhambra between June 1-16. Click on an icon for more details.

The map tracks all major crimes reported and traffic accidents between June 1-16, according to Alhambra Police Department records. If you witness or are victim to a crime, you can make a report through the Alhambra Police Department Citizen Online Reporting system or by calling 626-300-1529. Carlos, are your hit and run stats about no license/ intoxicated in Alhambra or generally? And what is your source? Good questions -- thanks

Do any of you think it is a correlation of AB-109 early release of parolees? Many if not most of the "LOW LEVEL-NON VIOLENT" parolees are the ones shooting it out with cops.

What should also be a concern for Alhambra residents are the amount of HIT AND RUNS. 1 out of 3 have no license and 1 out of 4 are intoxicated. In Los Angeles LAPD stats are being broken down by Auto VS Auto / Auto VS Pedestrian & now Auto VS Cyclist.

ROBBERIES in the area are also high.
