Sexual assault alleged at Ramona Elementary

A Ramona Elemantary School parent is charging that the Alhambra Unified School District failed to protect her 6-year-old daughter, a special news student, from other students who allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulted her, the Pasadena Star-News reports. As a result, according to a claim filed against the district on July 2, the student suffered "mental, emotial, and physical damages."

School board officials rejected the claim and refused to comment on the case, according to the Star-News.
