Two new Main Street businesses will add to the list of options for people to find their tea and shave ice fixes within Alhambra.

The Tea Barrel — a shop specializing in specialty drinks and Chinese, Taiwanese, and Japanese snacks — opened on Main just a few weeks ago, replacing the Gingko House, which was for years a regular hang out for Alhambra High students.

Just next door on the corner of 4th and Main streets, customers will soon be able to find shave ice, smoothies and more at Avalanche Shave Ice, which has taken over the former Silver Spoon frozen yogurt space.
