Missing elderly Alhambra couple located at Lake Arrowhead *Updated
An elderly Alhambra couple that was reported missing has been located, Alhambra Police are reporting.
"We are very happy to report Amado and Micaela Avila are well and have returned home safe and sound," Alhambra Police Department Officer Sharon Frasca-Williams wrote in an e-mail to Neighborhood Watch participants. "I am sure their loved ones are giving them an earfull."
CBS2 News is reporting that the couple, both in thir 90s, were missing for two nights until they were found disoriented at Lake Arrowhead, a place where their daughter Cindy said they often visited when she was growing up. They drove in their Nissan, which they usually take on Wednesdays to shop at Costco in Alhambra.
“Dad is wondering how they even got up here,” the couple's daughter, Cindy Avila, told CBS2. They were last seen on Wednesday on a surveillance video at a gas station in West LA and were located by someone who saw their story on television. “Thank God for the media,” Cindy said. ”We were worried sick about them.”

An elderly couple is missing, Alhambra Police are reporting. Amado and Micaela Avila were last seen by their daughter, leaving their home on the 1200 block of South Chapel Avenue around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11.
Amado is 91 years old, 5-foot-8, weighs 170 lbs, and has gray hair and brown eyes. Micaela is 95 years old, 5-foot-1, weighs 129 lbs, and has gray hair and brown eyes. The two were driving a 1991 blue Nissan pickup truck, license plate number 4J51245.
This is the second recent case of an elderly couple gone missing, since another two Alhambra residents disappeared in June. Jose and Elena Arrellano went missing on Sunday, June 27 after visiting their daughter's home in Rialto. They were last seen around 9:30 p.m. when they contacted Bell Gardens police asking for directions. Police located the couple two days later unharmed in San Diego.
