Has the government shutdown impacted you?
Tuesday's government shutdown closed or partially closed various federally funded agencies, including the Small Business Administration, National Parks, and museums and furloughed as many as 800,000 federal employees. Additionally, the Department of Veterans Affairs will run out of money for pension checks if the shutdown continues into late October, according to USA Today.
The Congressional stalemate began after the Republican controlled House of Representatives and Democrat controlled Senate could not agree on a spending bill by Monday's midnight deadline, essentially shutting down government spending until an agreement is reached.
Some federal agencies will stay open, such as the U.S. Postal Service, Social Security Administration, and Medicare. The government will also continue to provide immigration and border security, emergency and disaster assistance, and federal law enforcement, CBS Local reports.
