Alta Planning + Design and the City of Alhambra have released the final draft of the Alhambra Bicycle Master Plan, a proposal to improve cyclist safety in Alhambra. Officials will be presenting the draft to Alhambra City Council on Monday, March 25 at 5:30 p.m. The public will have the opportunity to participate in the meeting and provide feedback about the plan.
The plan aims to increase bikeways and create connections to popular destinations and neighboring cities. It also includes support facilities such as on-street bike parking, storage areas, and bike-rack accommodations on public transit.
Many bike enthusiasts and local residents were disappointed with the first draft of the Bike Master Plan in November, claiming the plan lacked enough designated bike paths and did not include major streets such as Fremont Avenue. Read the new draft below and tell us what you think!
