E-books coming to Alhambra Library, new communications equipment for police, and softball victories

Alhambra City Council meets on Monday night. On the agenda is a gift of $10,000 from the Alhambra Public Library Foundation to support the library's new e-book collection, and $165,387 from a state Homeland Security grant for the purchase of new communications equipment for the Alhambra Police Department.

Mayor Barbara Messina will also present commendations to the 2012 East Alhambra Girls Softball Team and the Little League Major All-Star Softball team, which both recently won championships in their divisions.
