Crowne Plaza and Hyatt hotels could open on Valley Blvd

Residents and business owners in San Gabriel will soon learn whether two large hotel chains will open on Valley Boulevard, World Journal reports. Global Valley, LLC., an international developer, has proposed two projects for the city: a Crowne Plaza Hotel on a two-acre lot on Valley and Palm Avenue; and just eight blocks away, a 150-room Hyatt Hotel & Resort.
West Valley Boulevard is already home to a Hilton Hotel, which is located between New and Del Mar Avenues. Director of Community Development Jennifer Davis told the Journal that having the three hotel chains would help the economy of the area, especially since they would be within such a close area.
