Alhambra and South Pasadena burglary suspects arrested
Police arrested three men allegedly responsible for a series of burglaries in Alhambra and South Pasadena on Tuesday morning, the Pasadena Sun reports. Glenn Banks, 32, David Sutherland, 21, and Maurice Gibbs, 21, allegedly broke into two homes in the 100 block of Mound Avenue between 6 and 8:30 a.m., South Pasadena Officer Randy Wise told the Sun. They then drove to Alhambra and allegedly committed an additional four burglaries.
An Alhambra resident reported them acting suspiciously in the 200 block of North Hidalgo Avenue, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports. They appeared to be fleeing from a failed break-in after being startled by a barking dog. Alhambra Police detained the suspects and discovered stolen property including financial documents, laptop computers, cameras, and cellphones. Some of the documents recovered were traced to a home on Mound Avenue, according to Wise.
The suspects were charged with burglary and receiving stolen property. If you know anything about these or other incidents, you can contact the Alhambra Police Department at (626) 570-5130 or by calling 911. Tips can be left anonymously.
