Alhambra native and "So You Think You Can Dance" star to take the stage

Alhambra resident and "So You Think You Can Dance" star Alexander Fost is featured in the upcoming Pacific Ballet Dance Theatre's performance of "Dance in the USA". The show begins at 8:30pm on August 17 at the Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood.

Fost began dancing at Alhambra High School at the age of 16. He was named Mr. Dance USA in 2006 and went on to win Mr. Dance International the following year. He competed on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" and was eliminated during the Top 12 week. Fost currently lives in Alhambra and is a freelance dancer and photographer.

"Dance in the USA" is an upbeat look at America's history of dance, from ragtime to the new millenium. Tickets are $15-$35 for adults and $12 for full-time students with ID and children 12 and under. Tickets are available at www.FordTheatres.org or by calling (323) 461-3673.
