The Alhambra Project
The Alhambra Source is an outgrowth of the Alhambra Project, a research initiative at the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. Alhambra was chosen in 2008 as a research site because of its limited media coverage and ethnically and linguistically diverse population. The goal is to create a multilingual local news site that responds to community information needs. Focus groups, surveys and media monitoring are being conducted to evaluate the impact of the Alhambra Source on local communication and civic engagement.
